11 Night Self-drive Botswana Zambezi Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Maun and pick up your rental vehicle at the airport.  A short drive takes you to Island Safari Lodge, where you can set up camp, unwind, enjoy a drink and embark on a magical sunset boat cruise.

Day 2: Experience the thrill of an open game-viewing vehicle as you are taken to the poling station in the Okavango Delta. Glide through the Delta's waterways on a traditional Mokoro (dugout canoe) for a mesmerizing adventure. After a picnic lunch on an island, continue your game viewing escapades. Spend the night camping in tents and relish a delightful barbecue dinner. The next morning, after breakfast, you will be returned to the lodge.

Day 3: Enjoy some relaxation time at Island Safari Lodge after your thrilling safari adventure. Consider taking a scenic flight over the Delta for a breathtaking perspective.

Day 4 & 5: Drive to Shakawe and camp at Drotsky’s Cabins,  situated on the picturesque banks of the Kavango River. Take in the tranquility of the river with boat excursions, fishing and bird watching.

Day 6 & 7: Cross the border into Namibia and journey through the Mahangu Game Reserve to reach the extraordinary Ngepi Camp,  nestled along the riverbanks. Engage in a game drive in the Mahangu, a boat trip and a refreshing swim in the crocodile-proof swimming pool.

Day 8 & 9: Drive to Kwando Camp and enjoy two relaxing days boating on the Kwando River's waterways and exploring Mudumu Game Reserve.

Day 10 & 11: Head to the renowned Chobe area and camp at Big Five Chobe Lodge. Partake in exciting river activities and venture into Chobe National Park.  An absolute must is a day trip to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, with various other enticing activities available.

Day 12: Conclude your adventure by dropping off your vehicle at Kasane Airport and boarding your flight home.
